1984

Under the kings cross arches Angela and Sebastiano Varchione open the doors to IL FORNAIO. Built upon traditional know how and time honoured recipes, IL FORNAIO began to bring the taste of Italy to the people of London.

2001

IL FORNAIO relocates its premises to a purpose built modernized factory located in London’s Park Royal.

2003

IL FORNAIO increases its presence in the food service and baking industry.

2005

IL FORNAIO becomes the first bakery in the United Kingdom to introduce the bar marking machine into its production process.

2006

Venturing into new avenues of the market, stretching further into the UK’s food service and baking industry. Allowing IL FORNAIO to meet its annual turnover target.

2009

IL FORNAIO celebrates its 25th Birthday.

2011

IL FORNAIO initiates the construction of the mezzanine area with the installation of a new Koenig line.

2014

IL FORNAIO upgrades its existing Fritsch line with additions to allow capacity of new products.

2016

Expansion and adjoining of our new premises combining units 5 and 7.

2020

IL FORNAIO’s silo acquisition upgrades our facility requiring less ground space, greater control over storage conditions and convenience of loading and depositing.
