Il Fornaio was established by Sebastiano Varchione in 1984. Our first bakery was situated under the famous brick arches at Kings Cross, where with his wife Angela and her brother Giuseppe Schettino (Uncle Joe), il Fornaio began baking.

Time honoured artisan recipes were used with Sebastiano and Uncle Joe incorporating their traditional know how to produce il Fornaio's fine breads.
